Empty cells
Paste or open JSON and get clean HTML table markup to paste into a page, e-mail or CMS. Preview the table, then copy or download the code.
How it works
Open or paste JSON
Paste a JSON array, open a .json file, load one from a URL or try the sample. The array of records is found automatically.
Style the markup
Choose a table or nested lists, add a CSS class, turn on inline styles, and pick columns in the table view.
Copy or download
Check the preview, then copy the HTML or download it as an .html file.
Features
Clean table markup
A <table> with <thead> and <tbody>, one <th> per key and one row per record, indented for reading or on one line.
Classes and inline styles
Add a class such as table table-striped for your framework, or inline styles with borders and padding for e-mails and editors without your CSS.
Nested lists
For JSON that is not a list of records, Nested lists writes any structure as <ul> and <ol> lists with the keys in bold.
Escaped and safe
Every value is escaped, so <script> in the data shows up as text. The preview runs in a sandbox with scripts disabled.
Columns
Nested objects become dotted columns. Hide columns you do not need and change their order.
Limits & privacy
JSON files can be up to 50 MB, and tables are limited to 100,000 rows. Files above 5 MB are converted from the file without loading them into the editor.
Markdown tables and bookmark files are not supported. See the privacy page.
FAQ
How do I convert JSON to an HTML table?
Paste the JSON array or open the file. The table markup appears as you type; use Copy or Download .HTML.
Can I preview the HTML table?
Yes. The Preview tab shows the table as a browser renders it, in an isolated sandbox.
How do I add Bootstrap or my own CSS class?
Type the class names in CSS class, for example table table-striped. They are added to the <table> element.
Is the JSON to HTML converter online free?
Yes, it is free and needs no account.
What if my JSON is not an array?
Choose Nested lists to turn any JSON into nested HTML lists, or type the path of the array in Array to convert.
Is my data uploaded?
No. The HTML is generated in your browser and your JSON never leaves your device.
