How it works
Paste the Markdown table
Paste the table or a document containing it, drop a .md file or load one from a URL, and choose the table if there are several.
Style the markup
Add a CSS class such as table table-striped, switch on inline styles for e-mail, choose indented or one-line markup.
Copy the HTML
Check the sandboxed preview, then copy the HTML or download it as an .html file.
Features
Inline Markdown rendered
**bold**, *italic*, `code`, ~~strikethrough~~ and [links](https://…) in cells become <strong>, <em>, <code>, <s> and <a>.
Alignment kept
The colons of the delimiter row become style="text-align:center" or right on the header and body cells, as GitHub renders them.
Safe output
Raw HTML in cells is escaped, except <br>, and javascript: links are not turned into links, so the markup is safe to paste.
For e-mail and CMS
Inline styles add borders, padding and a header background that survive e-mail clients and editors without your stylesheet.
Limits & privacy
Markdown files can be up to 10 MB and tables are limited to 100,000 rows. Files above 5 MB are converted from the file without loading them into the editor.
Only the selected table is converted, not the rest of the document – for a whole page use the Markdown Viewer, which exports a standalone HTML file. Images in cells are written as <img> with their URL; the preview does not load external images.
See the privacy page.
FAQ
How do I convert a Markdown table to HTML?
Paste the Markdown table. The HTML markup appears at once; copy it or download it.
Can I get plain text cells without <strong> or <a>?
Yes. Choose Plain text in Cell content and all formatting is written as text.
How do I add Bootstrap or my own CSS class?
Type the class names in CSS class. They are added to the <table> element.
Is the alignment of columns kept?
Yes. Center and right alignment become text-align styles on the cells.
What if a cell contains a <script> tag?
It is escaped and shows up as text. The preview runs in a sandbox with scripts disabled.
Is my Markdown uploaded?
No. The HTML is generated in your browser.
