How it works
Paste Markdown
Paste text, open a .md file, load one from a URL or try the sample.
Choose the output
HTML fragment or full page, highlighting as classes or inline styles, GFM or CommonMark, raw HTML kept or escaped.
Copy or download
Check the sandboxed preview, then copy the markup or download an .html file.
Features
Clean markup
No preview-only attributes or wrappers: headings with GitHub-style ids, plain tables with align, task list checkboxes, footnotes section.
Highlighting for e-mail
Code highlighting as CSS classes for your stylesheet, or as inline styles that survive e-mail clients.
Relative paths kept
Image and link paths stay exactly as written, so the HTML works next to your assets.
Always sanitized
The output goes through DOMPurify: scripts and event handlers from raw HTML in the Markdown are removed.
Limits & privacy
Files up to 10 MB. Nothing is uploaded: the conversion runs in your browser, and Open from URL fetches the file directly from the address you enter. See the privacy page.
Notes
For a table alone, Markdown Table to HTML adds table classes and styling options. Mermaid diagrams stay as code blocks marked language-mermaid; render them with Mermaid on your site. KaTeX output in fragment mode needs the KaTeX stylesheet on your page; full pages include it.
FAQ
How do I convert an .md file to HTML?
Open the .md file or paste its text. Choose Fragment or Full page and press Download .HTML or Copy.
What is the difference between fragment and full page?
A fragment is body markup to paste into a template or CMS. A full page is a standalone .html file with styles, a title and a strict Content Security Policy.
Which Markdown flavor is used?
GitHub Flavored Markdown by default: tables, task lists, strikethrough, autolinks, footnotes and alerts. CommonMark mode is strict.
How is math converted?
By default formulas stay as \( \) and \[ \] TeX for MathJax or KaTeX in your page; you can also render them with KaTeX now.
Is raw HTML in Markdown allowed?
It is kept and sanitized, or shown as text if you choose Escape. Scripts never survive.
Can I convert the HTML back?
Yes, with HTML to Markdown, linked above the result.
