This converter turns a YAML list of mappings into a GitHub Flavored Markdown table, one row per item and one column per key. Paste YAML or open a .yaml file and copy the table.

How it works
Paste or open YAML
Paste YAML, drop a .yaml or .yml file or open one from a URL. A list at the top level or inside a key, such as services:, is found automatically.
Choose the list and columns
Type a path to use another list, choose how nested lists are written, and hide or reorder columns.
Copy the Markdown
Copy the table into your documentation or download it as a .md file.
Features
Config files as tables
Document the services of a Compose file, the jobs of a CI pipeline, feature flags or i18n keys as a readable table.
Full YAML
Anchors, aliases and merge keys (<<) are resolved, comments are ignored and several documents separated by --- are read as a list.
Nested keys flattened
A mapping inside an item becomes dotted columns such as resources.limits.cpu; lists can be numbered columns, JSON text or joined values.
YAML 1.1 or 1.2
Pick the schema: YAML 1.2 keeps yes and no as text, YAML 1.1 reads them as true and false, like older parsers do.
Limits & privacy
YAML files can be up to 10 MB and tables are limited to 50,000 rows. Files above 5 MB are converted from the file without loading them into the editor.
Only lists of records make good tables. A deeply nested configuration with few repeated items is better read in the original YAML or converted with YAML to JSON. Long multi-line values (block scalars with |) are written into one cell with <br> between the lines, which can make wide tables; hide such columns when you only need an overview.

FAQ
How do I convert YAML to a Markdown table?
Paste the YAML. If it contains a list of mappings, each item becomes a row; copy the Markdown on the right.
What if my YAML is a single mapping?
Type $ in Array to convert to get a one-row table with a column per key, or point to the list inside it.
Are tags like !!python/object executed?
No. Unknown tags are never run; their values are kept as plain text and a warning names them.
Why does a key show as "on" or true?
YAML 1.1 reads on, yes and no as booleans. Switch the schema to YAML 1.2 (core) to keep them as text.
Is the YAML sent to a server?
No. It is parsed in a Web Worker in your browser and stays on your device.
