How it works
Paste Confluence content
Paste wiki markup, or the storage format from the REST API or Confluence source editor; the type is detected automatically.
Choose the style
Panels as GitHub alerts or quotes, emoticons as emoji, list and heading style.
Copy the Markdown
Move the page to Git, a docs site or Obsidian; check the preview first.
Features
Both Confluence formats
Wiki markup (h1., {code}, ||tables||) and storage format (ac:structured-macro, ri:url, ac:task-list).
Panels to alerts
{info}, {tip}, {note} and {warning} become > [!NOTE], [!TIP], [!WARNING] and [!CAUTION] with their titles.
Code with language
Code macros keep language and title; CDATA content is preserved exactly.
Sanitized input
Storage format is parsed by the same sanitizer as the HTML tools, so scripts in pasted content never run.
Limits & privacy
Files up to 10 MB. Nothing is uploaded: the conversion runs in your browser, and Open from URL fetches the file directly from the address you enter. See the privacy page.
Limits
Expand sections become a bold title followed by their content. Status lozenges become [STATUS] text, user mentions @name. Layouts and columns are flattened into one column.
FAQ
How do I get the storage format of a page?
Use the REST API (body.storage), a source editor app, or export to XML; paste the XHTML here.
What happens to macros like {toc} or {children}?
They generate content in Confluence and have no Markdown equivalent, so they are dropped with a warning.
Are attachments and images kept?
Image macros become or the attachment file name; download attachments separately.
Are links to other pages kept?
Page links become their text, because the storage format does not contain page URLs.
Can I convert Markdown to Confluence?
Yes, with Markdown → Confluence, linked above the result.
