Combine TXT files with encoding conversion
This tool merges many text files into a single file in the order you choose. Drop .txt, .log or .csv files, pick a separator and an output encoding, and download the combined file – nothing is uploaded.

How it works
Drop the files
Choose or drop up to 1,000 text files or a folder. Each file's encoding and line breaks are detected.
Arrange and choose a separator
Sort by name or size, drag files into place, then join them with a line break, a blank line or your own header such as "----- {name} -----".
Download the result
Pick the output encoding and line breaks and download one file. Large merges run in a background worker with progress.
Features
Mixed encodings fixed
Files in UTF-8, UTF-16, Windows-1251, KOI8-R or Windows-1252 are each decoded correctly and written in one output encoding, optionally with a BOM.
Side by side mode
Instead of appending, put files next to each other: line 1 of every file, then line 2 – like the paste command – with a tab or another delimiter.
File-name headers
Mark where each file starts with "==> name <==" lines or a template with {name}, {n} and {total}.
Clean output
Remove duplicate lines across all files, drop blank lines at the end of every file and normalise line breaks to LF or CRLF.
Exact bytes
The download is built from the encoded bytes, not from the preview, so very large merges are complete even when the preview is cut.
Limits & privacy
Up to 1,000 files, each up to 100 MB, 300 MB in total. Files larger than 2 MB are read straight from disk in a background worker instead of the editor. Characters that do not exist in a single-byte output encoding are written as ? and counted in the summary. Nothing is uploaded. See the privacy page.
FAQ
How do I merge multiple text files into one?
Drop the files on the page, check the order in the list and click Download. The files are joined in list order with the separator you chose.
Can I merge files with different encodings?
Yes. Every file is decoded with its own detected encoding (or the one you force) and the result is written in one encoding, UTF-8 by default.
How do I keep track of which line came from which file?
Turn on File names as headers, or choose a custom separator such as "----- {name} -----" that is written before each file.
Can I merge two lists side by side?
Choose Side by side. Line N of each file goes on line N of the output, separated by a tab, so two columns from two files become one table.
Does it work with CSV files?
It joins CSV files as text. To keep a single header, merge the files and remove duplicate lines, or use a CSV-aware tool if the headers differ.
What is the size limit?
Up to 1,000 files, each up to 100 MB and 300 MB in total. Files above 2 MB are not shown in the editor but are merged in full.
