Output
Keeps <p>, <br>, <ul>, <ol>, <li>, <a href>, <b>, <strong>, <i>, <em>, <h1>–<h6>, <div> and removes other tags (the set Google allowed in FAQ answers).
Since 7 May 2026 Google no longer shows FAQ rich results. FAQPage markup is still valid schema.org and can help other search engines and AI assistants understand the page; the questions must be visible on the page.

FAQPage structured data for questions shown on your page
This FAQ schema generator builds FAQPage JSON-LD from your questions and answers. Type the pairs or paste them in bulk, reorder them, and copy the ready script block – the markup is validated as you type.
Last updated:
How it works
Enter questions and answers
One item per question, in the same order as on the page. Use the arrows to move items, or paste a whole list with Q: and A: lines.
Check the output
Each pair becomes a Question with an acceptedAnswer. Missing answers, empty questions and HTML problems appear in the Check tab.
Copy into the page
Copy the script block into the page that shows exactly these questions, or download the JSON-LD.
Features
Bulk paste
Paste existing FAQ text with Q:/A: prefixes or as question-and-answer paragraphs and turn it into items in one click.
Answers with simple HTML
Links, lists, paragraphs and emphasis are kept; other tags are removed, following the set of tags Google allowed in FAQ answers.
Reorder without retyping
Move any question up or down with the keyboard-friendly arrow buttons; the JSON-LD follows the order.
Edit existing markup
Import a FAQPage block or the HTML of a page that contains one, change it in the form and copy it back.
Limits & privacy
Imported JSON-LD or HTML can be up to 1 MB. There is no limit on the number of questions, but long FAQ lists are hard to read for users.
Every question needs an answer; empty pairs are dropped from the output. Google’s guidance for FAQ content has not changed: the text must be on the page, written by the site, and not used for advertising.
Validation uses the schema.org vocabulary (© schema.org sponsors, CC BY-SA 3.0, see licenses). Everything runs in your browser – see the privacy page.
FAQ
Does Google still show FAQ rich results?
No. Google stopped showing FAQ rich results on 7 May 2026 and removed the documentation in June 2026. Before that they were limited to well-known government and health websites since 2023.
Is FAQ schema still worth adding?
It is valid schema.org and describes the page clearly for other search engines and AI assistants, but it brings no visual change in Google Search. Do not expect more clicks from it.
Must the questions be visible on the page?
Yes. Mark up only questions and answers that users can read on the page – hidden or invented FAQ content breaks Google's structured data guidelines.
Can one page have several FAQPage blocks?
Use one FAQPage per page with all questions in its mainEntity list. Repeated questions across many pages add nothing.
FAQPage or QAPage?
FAQPage is for questions answered by the site itself. A page where users submit answers to one question, like a forum thread, uses QAPage.
Can answers contain links?
Yes, as <a href> with an absolute or root-relative URL. The cleanup option removes attributes such as onclick and styles.
