Or drop HEIC files or a folder here. Up to 200 photos; nothing is uploaded.
SettingsJPG · 90% · no GPS
This HEIC to JPG converter turns iPhone and Android HEIC photos into JPG files right on your device, one photo or 200 at a time. Nothing is uploaded: the photos never leave your phone or computer.

How it works
Choose photos
Tap Choose photos and pick HEIC images from your library or Files, or drop files and folders on a computer.
Check the settings
JPG at 90% quality and the location removed are preset. Open Settings to change quality, size, metadata or the file names.
Convert and save
Press Convert, watch the previews appear, then save to Photos with the share sheet, download a ZIP or save photos one by one.
Features
Private by design
Decoding and encoding run in your browser with the HEVC decoder of your operating system. No server sees your photos.
Batches of 200 photos
Progress shows N of M, you can cancel at any time, and results come as a ZIP or through Share – Save to Photos on an iPhone.
Location removed, date kept
By default the GPS position is deleted while the date taken, camera and lens stay. Keep all metadata or remove all with one tap.
Correct orientation and colours
Rotation and mirroring stored in the HEIC are applied to the pixels, and Display P3 colours are converted to sRGB so the JPG looks the same everywhere.
Limits & privacy
One photo can be up to 64 MB; a batch holds up to 200 photos. Images over 100 megapixels (50 megapixels on phones) or over 16,384 px on a side are refused before decoding.
HEIC decoding needs an HEVC decoder in your browser: Chrome or Edge on Windows 10/11 and macOS with hardware HEVC, Safari 17+ on Mac, iPhone and iPad, and Chrome on most Android phones. Firefox and Chrome on Linux usually cannot decode HEIC; the page tells you as soon as it opens. We never download or run our own HEVC decoder. Keep the screen on during long batches. See the privacy page.
FAQ
Why does my iPhone save photos as HEIC?
Since iOS 11 the camera uses the High Efficiency format: HEIC files are about half the size of JPG at the same quality. Many apps and websites still expect JPG.
How do I make my iPhone take JPG instead of HEIC?
Open Settings → Camera → Formats and choose Most Compatible. New photos are then saved as JPG; existing HEIC photos stay HEIC and can be converted here.
Is it safe to convert HEIC to JPG on this site?
Yes. The photos are processed locally in your browser and are never uploaded.
Why does a HEIC file not open on Windows?
Windows needs the HEIF and HEVC Video Extensions from the Microsoft Store to show HEIC. Converting to JPG avoids that.
Why is location removed by default?
Converted photos are usually sent or posted, and the GPS position can reveal your home. The date and camera are useful for sorting, so they stay unless you choose Remove all.
Does converting HEIC to JPG lose quality?
JPG is a lossy format, so a little detail is lost. At 90% quality the difference is hard to see; choose 95–100% for printing or editing.
